In many Eastern traditions, especially yoga and Ayurveda, these centers are known as chakras, a Sanskrit word meaning “wheel.” Incidentally, the same concept exists in Kemetic tradition, but these points are called aritu. When I heard about that, I was amazed to see how many traditions can be so similar !

Of course, there are many minor energy points that are energetic centers, as well as points of input and output of information. However, most holistic systems mainly focus on seven primary body’s energy centers that run along the spine, from the base to the crown of the head. Let’s examine them together.
1. Root Chakra (Your Base of Spine)
Themes : Safety, stability, survival
Associated with : lower back
The root center is your foundation. When this chakra is balanced, you feel secure and grounded. However, imbalance may show up as anxiety, fear, or financial stress.
